SZ formality: The Munich actor and drummer Max Alberti. – Sports

SZ: Sport is . . .

Max Alberti: Good for the soul, because for me sport almost always takes place in nature! At the lake, in the forest, across the fields… Running and meditation go hand in hand.

Your current fitness level?

Puhhh – was ever better. But I’m starting to train again now. Certainly. Same tomorrow.

Rim upswing or stopover?

The main thing is momentum!

Physical education class was for you?

A welcome change from math, chemistry and French.

Your personal record?

On a 20-day tour of my band Jamaram, unloading two tons of equipment from the bus every day, setting it up and loading it back after the concert. Then you know what you did!

Stadium visitors or TV athletes?

To be honest, I’ve never been to the stadium, except for concerts. Let’s see if I can still manage to experience a football match in the stadium in this lifetime. Should be great.

Bavaria or sixty?

Neither nor emotionally involved. Always more for those who don’t have big money at home.

Your eternal sports idol?

I grew up with basketball and played in a club from the age of six to 16. Of course I was very into the NBA at the time, and the Charlotte Hornets were signing Muggsy Bogues at the time. He was only 1.60 meters tall and managed to assert himself against all these giants. That made a lasting impression on me.

A formative experience?

At the age of ten I finished third in the German championship with my basketball team. We didn’t care that it was only third place. We felt like royalty!

In which discipline would you be an Olympic champion?

I can eat at least twelve chocolate croissants in one day, no problem at all.

Which athlete would you like to swap jerseys with?

hmm Maybe with the Iranian climber Elnaz Rekabi. I hardly know anything about her, but I really admire the courage with which she climbed publicly without a headscarf to draw attention to the abuses in her country.

Under the heading “Formality” the SZ asks people about their affinity for sport every week. Artists, politicians, captains of industry – just no athletes. It would be boring.
