Status quo with Jon Rahm behind Davis Thompson

No change at the head of the American Express with the young American Davis Thompson still ahead of the Spaniard Jon Rham, now only second. South Korean darling Tom Kim completes the podium, while Habs Martin Trainer misses the cut.

Author of two eagles in a row in the first round, Davis Thompson this time slammed three new eagles on Friday to keep his opponents at bay and remain sole leader of American Express mid-tournament. The 23-year-old American posted an insolent score of -18 after 36 holes!

Jon Rahm stays two lengths away

world number four Jon Rahm signs a second straight card of 64 to remain only second two strokes behind the leader. New darling of the American circuit, the South Korean Tom Kim completes the podium with the performance of the day on the Niklaus Course (62), alongside in particular the former world number one Jason Day.  Xander Schauffele, Justin Rose et Scottie Schefflerwho can still dream of the world number one spot, are in the top 10.

SH Kim is doing the show!

The cut will fall exceptionally on Saturday on this alliance tournament on three different courses, but the Franco-American Martin Trainer sees the prospect of playing on Sunday moving away a little further with a provisional 150th place (+3). We will also note the end of the day for the less incredible of the South Korean S.H. Kim (120th), trapped by the demonic bunker of 16, then saved by the stones of 17 for an improbable birdie!
