IT ISflamboyant horsehair Cardinals of Arizona, the State Farm Stadium is preparing to host the high mass of American football on February 12, with the media coverage and the influx of spectators and visitors aroused by this major meeting of the sports calendar in the United States.

To meet continued strong demand, the enclosure – build in the early 2000s with then the denomination of theUniversity of Phoenix Stadium – has a capacity of up to 72,200 seats, well beyond the fixed capacity established at 63,400 seats.

Designed according to American standards for the layout of large-scale sports facilities, the stadium can also count on the presence of more than 14,000 parking spaces nearby.

But beyond that, the State Farm Stadium will once again be illustrated by its technical characteristics, relating both to a retractable roof that can open and close in 15 minutes, and to a removable lawn set up on a platform of nearly 8,620 tons and approximately 123 meters in length and 71 meters wide.

Among the other key figures to remember, the multifunctional enclosure – whose construction cost amounted to 455 million dollars between 2002 and 2006, below the invoice SoFi Stadiumhost of Super Bowl last year – also has no less than 10 elevators, 18 stairs, 47 food stalls, but also 77 toilets, 35 for women, 30 for men and 12 for families.

Figures which are nevertheless incomparable with those of the Super Bowl XLIX organized on site in 2015.

With the presence of Katy Perry, Lenny Kravitz et Missy Elliott for the famous halftime show, this edition had indeed reached recordswith in particular more than 118.5 million American viewers at the time of this musical and scenographic interlude of about twelve minutes.

More than 120,000 visitors also came to watch – inside and outside the stadium – the meeting between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawkswhile more than 5,000 journalists covered the event which had in fine generated economic spinoffs of nearly $720 million, testifying once again to the scale and the interest shown around the Super Bowl which, in addition to the consecrated evening, arouses a crescendo of expectation on the days preceding the meeting.

In fact, several hundred thousand people flocked to Glendale and its surroundings in 2015 to take part in the festivities that traditionally mark the last week before the Super Bowl.

This year, the figures could approach, or even exceed, these past data.

On February 12, the return to the stage of the singer Rihanna could thus boost the overall audience of a meeting whose identity of the protagonists remains to be established, knowing that the Eagles of Philadelphia and the 49ers of San Francisco on one side for the National Football Conference (NFC), and Chiefs of Kansas City and the Bengals from Cincinnati to another for theAmerican Football Conference (AFC), compete at the end of the weekend to win the two precious sesames that will ensure them a presence on the lawn of Glendale.

From a sporting point of view, the stakes will obviously be high, and the attention of spectators and television viewers should be in order.

If the Eagles (Pennsylvania) get their ticket for the Super Bowlthey would then be able to win a second Trophy Vince Lombardiafter their victory in 2018 against the Patriots during the 52nd Super Bowl.

For the 49ers from San Francisco – whose setting hosted the 50th Super Bowl in 2016 – the beginning of 2023 could consecrate a sixth title for the Californian franchise, after the victories gleaned in 1982, 1985, 1989, 1990 and 1995.

About the Chiefs (Missouri), the goal is to be able to lift the mythical trophy for the third time in their history, after 1970 and 2020.

Finally, for the Bengalsthe meeting of this weekend is crucial to hope to compete on a second consecutive meeting of the Super Bowl. Present last year, but defeat against Rams of the Angels who played at home within the monument SoFi Stadium, the franchise of Cincinnati (Ohio) remains on several failures and no coronation. In January 1982, it bowed in fact to the 49ers aforementioned, before losing again to this same franchise seven years later.

To attend the next Super Bowland while waiting to know the two franchises that will face each other, spectators will in any case have to be able to pay a tidy sum, the tickets still on sale being accessible at prices between 4,972.50 dollars and 29,750 dollars , i.e. between 4,575.64 euros and 27,375.65 euros.

Like the excess of the event.
