Without a club since the start of the season, Rudy Demahis-Ballou (1.87 m, 18 years old) is preparing to return to competition. The young playmaker will train from this Thursday with SLUC Nancy, where he could sign in the coming days. Sylvain Lautié’s team is restructuring its workforce. The arrival of a point guard with the status of a locally trained player could allow them to sign a foreigner to replace Luke Fischer.
After spending two seasons in Monaco (2.1 points at 30.3% shooting success, 0.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 9 minutes out of 36 matches in 2021-2022), Rudy Demahis-Ballou hoped to join a Betclic ELITE club playing in the European Cup. But the Norman did not receive the expected offer, despite the interest of clubs like Le Portel (as a medical replacement for Benoît Mangin) in particular. In the meantime, he trained with Paris Basketball. Approached by Champagne Basket (Pro B), he favored the interest of the Cougars.
