Rally driver Ken Block dies in an accident with his snowmobile

Rally driver Ken Block has died this Monday due to an accident on his snowmobile. The athlete, who was 55 years old, was riding his vehicle at about 2:00 p.m. on a steep slope when he overturned. The man was under the motorcycle. “Mr. Block was traveling with a group but he was alone when the accident occurred,” the local police explained in a statement.

“We are saddened to learn of the loss of Kenneth and our hearts go out to his deeply affected family and friends,” the text adds. Block was pronounced dead at the scene. The athlete’s team has also been shocked by the loss. “Ken was a visionary, a trailblazer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband.”

The American was one of the most outstanding rally drivers in the world. He got his start in international competitions in the mid-2000s and achieved several titles.
