Premier League: Arsenal’s winning streak ended

In the top game of the English Premier League, the home team from London could only manage a draw against Newcastle United. It was the fourth game in a row without conceding a goal for the guests.

Dhe hitherto sovereign leaders FC Arsenal have dropped points for the first time after five wins in the English Premier League. The Gunners had to settle for a 0-0 draw against pursuers Newcastle United on Tuesday. Arsenal have 44 points eight points ahead of holders Manchester City, who can move closer with a win at Chelsea on Thursday.

Behind them, Newcastle (35) remains third, but record champions Manchester United were able to draw level on points with a 3-0 (1-0) win over AFC Bournemouth. Ex-Real player Casemiro (23rd), Luke Shaw (49th) and Marcus Rashford (86th) scored the goals for the Red Devils.

Everton FC, threatened with relegation, suffered a sensitive bankruptcy. Three days after the 1-1 victory at Man City, coach Frank Lampard’s team suffered a 1-4 (0-1) home defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion. The German Pascal Groß scored the fourth goal for the guests.
