Hand in hand with the Oribeltza Basketball Club and with the support of the Portugalete City Council, Marie Claire Tondja, a basketball coach from Cameroon, has led a group of women of different origins and ages to train and carry out different activities in around the ‘Women, health and sport’ project.
Work for female empowerment, intercultural integration, good coexistence and equality are other objectives that bring these women together around this new basketball team.
They began the experience last Saturday, January 7, and will continue training every Saturday at noon at the Antonio Trueba School. The group has its doors open to receive more women who want to participate in this project, exercise and have a good time.
