After a crushing loss on Friday against Flamengo 103-47, Peñarol recovered on Saturday and at the Arena Tenis Clube Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro beat Instituto de Córdoba 89-80 to win their first game in group C of the Basketball Champions League Americas.
After being local in December of the first window of the group and beating Instituto (64-56) and losing to Flamengo (67-94), in the middle of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Peñarol now played the second window in which Flamengo was a rental.

But on Saturday he recovered by defeating Instituto, which leaves him with a chance to fight in the last window, to play in February in Córdoba, to go in search of second place in the group.
