Pat Beverley makes a fool of himself in front of Kyrie, Kevin Durant laughs!

Criticized on many points, Pat Beverley wants to be irreproachable in one area, namely that of involvement. He was also very concerned in defense on Kyrie Irving, this Monday, even a little too much for Kevin Durant’s taste!

Deprived of LeBron James and Anthony Davis for their trip to the Barclays Center, they knew that their task would prove to be extremely difficult. The Lakers still harbored some hopes of victory when they faced the Nets on Monday. Hopes which were maintained until the start of the 4th quarter, during which Kyrie Irving and his troops were able to take off to win (121-104).

KD bent in front of Pat Bev’s goofy defense on Kyrie

In the absence of Kevin Durant, still injured in the knee, Kyrie has once again taken things in hand to offer Brooklyn a 31st success this season. Author of 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, the star leader undermined the defense of Purple & Gold, and in particular Pat Beverley. The latter, however, tried everything to limit it, even resorting to methods that greatly amused the Slim Reaper:

Pat Bev may have been as active and close to Kyrie as possible, but her various attempts to upset him had no effect. Worse, they were sanctioned by the referees, and offered two “free” free throws to his opponent, whose team was in the bonus. Suffice to say that in addition to a rather weak artistic note, the Lakers pit bull did not stand out for his effectiveness on this sequence.

No wonder, then, that Durant couldn’t hold back his mirth at the time, and thus made fun of Beverley a little. Nothing too bad despite everything, as his target could see a few seconds later. Passing in front of the Nets bench on a following possession, the rear angelino was able to exchange a few words with KD, certainly to return to this action with a smile:

Renowned for his defense, and proud to say he can stop any player, Patrick Beverley will not have had as much success against Kyrie Irving. For lack of anything better, he can at least congratulate himself on having entertained Kevin Durant thanks to his attempts!
