Paracao focuses on the Federal League


Paracao prepares its debut in the third national category. With the base of the squad that conquered Conference 2 of the Prefederal plus 3 reinforcements, the Giants of the South of Paraná throb with their debut.

Driven by its consecration in being a finalist in the Conference 2 of the previous year (which was awarded) in the Entre Ríos area, the Auriazul team will be one of the nine Entre Ríos that will participate in the competition that lives up to its name, since it will include 102 seats from 17 provinces.

Paracao will integrate subdivision 1 of the Litoral division, together with four teams from Rosario (Provincial, Sportsmen Unidos, Olegario Víctor Andrade -Caova- and El Tala), two from Compueblas (Olimpia and Sionista), one from Galvense (Santa Paula) and one from Esperanza ( Almagro).

While, in zone 2, the rest of the Entre Ríos will be: Central Entre Ríos, Neptunia and Racing (from Gualeguaychú), San José and Atlético Tala (from their respective homonymous towns), Ferrocarril (from Concordia) and Centro Bancario Gualeguay ( winner of Confederation 1 of the Prefederal 2022 and winner in the provincial final of Paracao).

The Giants of the South retain the bulk of the squad that made the jump in level, which was reinforced in specific positions. The guards Julián Salaberry (from Unión de Santa Fe) and Gonzalo Sabatini (from Gimnasia y Esgrima), plus point guard Nicolás Bros (arrives from Peñarol de Rosario del Tala) are their new faces.

The rest, highlights the cards that starred in a historic campaign for the institution of the South of Paraná. Among the majors, Román Rodríguez (elected Most Valuable Player of the Prefederal), Franco Pividori and Nicolás Sartori; plus Leandro Chorvat Ávalos (Under 23), Juan Cruz Krapp, Agustín Caminos, Enzo Borgogno Mantay and Gerónimo Cian Vianco (Under 21).

As for the juniors, who were already part of the immediately preceding process, the following were appointed: Tomás Guzmán, Franco Tomiozzo, Juan Manuel Fontana, Valentino Cian Vianco and Alfredo Álvarez.

The other great novelty is starring Alejandro Zilli. Who was a reference until last month, is the one who now, in his new role, guides the team from the technical direction.

The rest of the coaching staff also shows continuity, with Juan Ignacio Gasparrini (assistant coach), Julián Vernackt (physical trainer), Jorge Pérez (kinesiologist) and Gabriel Guzmán (team manager). Joaquín Chaparro (assistant) and José González (doctor) joined.

The preseason began with the same beginning of the year and since then they have been repeated in the evening, having the institution’s stadium and gymnasium as the setting, as appropriate. To gain pace in the competition, the team played a friendly match with the Centro Juventud Sionista.

Meanwhile, in the last hours, Paracao Básquet had its Media Day, in which the members spoke with social communicators and posed before the cameras with the brand new clothing that they will use in the coming season.

Paracao Básquet will begin its march in the Federal League 2023 next Friday, February 3, visiting Almagro de Esperanza. Meanwhile, his first game at the Colossus of the South will be on Saturday the 11th against Olimpia.
