Options for vacations with children

The palette of options is varied and ranges from agritourism, hiking and horseback riding to spending a weekend in lodgings and tourist inns that some have pools, others with waterfalls or streams (see infographic).

From the page www.visitaparaguay.com.py, created by the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur), you can access all the general information on the different tourist attractions that each department has at the country level. The site provides information on destinations to visit, historical, nightlife and gastronomic circuits in Asunción.

Also at www.bienvenidoaparaguay.com, which is a search engine for tourist inns, you can compare the different alternatives in each one with their costs and a map to get there.

In San Bernardino, one of the most visited, Aventura Xtrema offers tree climbing activities, 4×4 adventure, tobatí adventure, crazy ball, quarry diving, canoeing, adventure cycling, climbing wall, boat ride, pendulum, water skiing, shooting arc, panoramic flight, etc.

The Oñondivemi farm located in JA Saldívar, 27.5 km from Asunción, is another of the most recommended places to take the younger ones.

This place has a hostel for 35 people, three rural houses whose style combines the modern with rustic touches. It also has a park and camping area for 100 people. It offers guided visits to the natural and cultural museums, the zoo, the organic garden, alternative energy centers, as well as horseback riding, hiking, beekeeping, worm farming, pig farming, arborization, fishing and boating.

Just meters from the Monday Falls, in Pte. Franco, stands the Monday Inclusive Adventure Eco Park. Dedicated mainly to the development of ecotourism, it offers activities such as canyoning, rafting, rappelling, archery station, Guaraní crossing, treetop circuit, zip line. Its restaurant with a view of the Falls.
