Jurison was born on December 2, 1947, he has been writing about sports since 1965. In the beginning of his journalistic career, Jurisons worked in the newspaper “Sports”, where he later became the chief editor.
On the other hand, from 1993 Jurisons worked in the newspaper “Lauku Avīze”, which later turned into “Latvijas Avīzi”.
Jurisons is also the author of several Latvian sports books.
