NFL: Dan Quinn stays with the Cowboys

Courted by several NFL teams, the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, Dan Quinn, will remain in his position with the Texas organization.

In a statement Thursday, the Cowboys confirmed the 52-year-old has decided to stay with head coach Mike McCarthy for the upcoming campaign.

The main interested party was among the candidates for the pilot position with the Arizona Cardinals. Quinn also reportedly had talks with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.

The New Jersey native has served as defensive coordinator with the Cowboys for two seasons. Previously, Quinn was the helm of the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020. He was fired by the Georgia squad after they started the regular season with no wins in five games.
