Atlanta suffered the wrath of Damian Lillard. The Hawks lost 129-125 on the floor of the Portland Trail Blazers, who forced the decision in particular thanks to the 42 points of their star leader.
Deprived of Trae Young, hit in an ankle, the Hawks again lacked address. They thus returned only 46.8% of their shots (44/94), against 54.5% for Portland. Clint Capela was no exception to the rule: the Geneva pivot certainly signed his 21st double double of the season with 10 points and 15 rebounds, but he only managed 4 of his 11 shots.
Led by Dejounte Murray (40 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists), Atlanta was nevertheless able to believe in victory by recovering to 119-119 at 1’06 from the “buzzer” thanks to an 8-0 partial. But the Hawks stalled in the last seconds, suffering a 4th defeat in their last 5 outings to again post a negative balance (25 wins-26 losses).
