In a press conference held in Bogotá, Nairo Quintana silenced the rumors about a possible retirement and assured that he will continue pedaling in the coming years.

The Colombian cyclist mentioned that he is ready to continue pedaling and that he will continue looking for a team that will welcome him during this season.

“Today I want to tell you that I am in good shape to continue, despite the latest events. In recent months, in which the rarefied environment in which I have developed is undeniable and the inexplicable wall that has been raised between the possibilities of competing and my desire to continue doing so, I do not give up and keep moving forward ”, he commented.

For his part, the rider mentioned that in the next few days he will travel to Europe and therefore will not be in the National Road Championships that will be held in Bucaramanga.

It should be noted that the press in recent days had commented on the version that the cyclist was going to retire, an issue that in the end has not occurred.
