MONTCHANIN : «Do you speak Basket-Ball» au collège Anne Frank

For this event, the class was split into two groups.

As part of the “Do you speak BB” scheme supported by the Departmental Council, Johanna Muzet and Coralie Chabrier, two professional players from Charnay Basket Bourgogne Sud came to Anne Frank College on Monday to meet students from a 5th grade class.
For this event, the class was split into two groups. The first group had a time of discussion in the language of Shakespeare with the two players based on questions they had prepared in advance with their English teacher. During this time, the second group benefited from an initiation to basketball with Antoine Metz, physical trainer of the CBBS at the municipal gymnasium.

Last Saturday, college students were able to attend the Women’s League 2 match between CBBS and Monaco. The players from Charnay consolidated their leading position by winning 63 to 55 against the players from the Principality. A nice souvenir for the young college students who also received chasubles and gifts. It is also a great honor for the Anne Frank College to have been selected to participate in the “Do you speak BB” operation.
Mrs. Marie-Christine Cottard, Principal, and the teachers of the Anne Frank college thank the Municipality for the provision of the gymnasium and the Departmental Council represented by Sophie Clément, vice president in charge of Associative Life. “10 classes from the department were selected for this operation, 5 in partnership with Elan Chalon and 5 with CBBS, the department’s two flagship clubs. The purpose of this system is to promote basketball and sports practice in general using English in a fun way,” said Sophie Clément.
