Mexico is playing its pass to the Basketball World Cup in Medellín and Montevideo

Writing.- The return of Mexico to the Basketball World Cup will be defined at the end of next month and the cities where they will go for the ticket are already known. Medellín will host the duel against Colombia and Montevideo will witness the match against Uruguay.

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in its Americas region announced the venues for windows five and six of the qualification for the 2023 World Cup, to be held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.

The Mexican team led by Omar Quintero will face Colombia on Thursday, February 23, at the Ivan de Bedout Coliseum, in Medellín, while the last game of the qualifiers for Mexico will be on Sunday, February 26, against Uruguay, at the Antel Arena in Montevideo.

  • Thursday, February 23 – Colombia vs. Mexico – Iván de Bedout Coliseum (Medellín) – 6:00 pm (Central Mexico)
  • Sunday, February 26 – Uruguay vs. Mexico – Antel Arena (Montevideo) – 6:00 pm (Central Mexico)

Mexico currently occupies the fourth place in Group F, equal in points (16) but with a worse point difference than Puerto Rico. To ensure your ticket to the World Cup requires getting into the first three places or being the best fourth place, including Group G, where Argentina is fourth with one unit more than the Mexicans (17 pts).
