It was not the only altercation that occurred in the Canary Islands this weekend. The Inter-island Football Federation of Las Palmas (FIFLP) has “strongly” condemned the serious incidents that occurred on Saturday night after the football match between Unión Pedro Hidalgo B and CD Firgas, from Segunda Aficionado, played in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The referee’s report states that “once the match was over and both teams went to the changing rooms, the number 16 of the home team struck with excessive force in the left area of the neck of the number 1 of the visiting team.”

The referee expressly details that “punches, shoves, head butts, kicks” take place and that he observes how one of the fans “carries a knife with which he even hit the coach of the visiting team in his left hand, causing a large cut, from which significant bleeding emanated”, he describes in detail verbatim.
That same person, according to the referee’s account, “throws a large stone into the area where players and officials of the visiting team were on the pitch, without hitting anyone.”
The referee of the match also describes in the minutes various altercations between players, such as insults or threats such as “I’m going to kill you, you’re not going to get out of here alive son of a bitch”, as well as “kicking and punching various players from the visiting team”. .
In addition, it details that the two CD Firgas goalkeepers took refuge in the referee’s locker room after being attacked “fearing for their physical integrity,” the referee literally expresses.
It was the arbitration team itself who called the forces of public order and the health services, who arrived at the football field at around 8:10 p.m., making reports of the events that occurred.
In addition, as reported by the CD Firgas, in the next few hours the members of the club who were attacked will present the pertinent complaint to the National Police.
“The Las Palmas Inter-island Football Federation deeply regrets, while expressing its most resounding rejection of these episodes,” the statement said.
