Marcus Stroman will play the World Baseball Classic with Puerto Rico

A little over a month after playball is sung in the World Baseball Classic 2023various players continue to confirm their participation with their respective teams.

Such is the case of Marcus Stromanwho this Friday published a message on his social networks where he announced that, unlike the previous edition, this time he will see action wearing the jersey of Puerto Rico.

​The 31-year-old starting pitcher could be an important place in the rotation of the Puerto Rican National Teamalong with other players like Jose Berrios.

“Back to it with Team Puerto Rico this year! @WBCBaseball (Back with the Puerto Rican team this year! @WBCBaseball)”, could be read in the tweet published by Stroman, accompanied by four photos of the 2017 World Classic.

It was precisely in the 2017 edition of the international contest, where the Medford, New York native came away with the victory in the championship gamesame in which USA prevailed over Puerto Rico to get the title.

For his part, in the Season 2022 of Big leagues, Stroman he posted 25 starts in which he posted a 6-7 record with a 3.50 ERA, 138.2 innings pitched, 119 strikeouts and a 1.15 WHIP.
