The Latvian U-18 girls’ hockey team won the third victory in Group A of the second division of the World Championship on Tuesday, January 24.

In the duel, the team led by Mika Golubović beat the Dutch team with a score of 2:1 (0:0, 0:0, 1:1, 1:0) in overtime.
Less than a minute and a half before the end of regular time, Latvia was behind with 0:1, but Linda Rulle was able to make it 1:1. In overtime, Linda Rulle was accurate again, bringing Latvia a 2:1 victory.
It should be noted that Linda Rulle scored seven goals in three world championship games and she is the most productive hockey player of the championship.
In the first match of the World Cup, Latvia defeated Mexico 6-1, and in the second match it beat Great Britain 3-2 in overtime.
The Second Division World Championship in Group A will take place in the Scottish city of Dumfries from January 21 to 27.
The Latvian girls’ national team will continue the world championship with matches against Australia (January 26) and Turkey (January 27).
