This Sunday as part of the 20th day of Ligue 1, Toulouse chained a fourth match without defeat by going to win at La Meinau against Strasbourg (1-2).

We could fear the worst for Toulouse in this second part of the season after being corrected by Marseille (1-6) when the championship resumed at the end of December. It is ultimately quite the opposite, since the men of Philippe Montanier chained this Sunday a sixth match without defeat in all competitions after their victory on the lawn of Strasbourg (2-1). However, everything had started badly for the TFC with the opener of Kevin Gameiro who took advantage of an error by Anthony Rouault (19th). Confident in recent weeks, Toulouse reacted quickly by coming back to score through Thijs Diallinga, very happy to score from close following an unfortunate delivery from Frédéric Guilbert (25th). Branco van den Boomen could have given his side the advantage in stride, but his shot did not catch the target (29th). Rather discreet for his return to Ligue 1, Morgan Sanson signaled himself at the end of the first period with a strike which licked the post of Maxime Dupé (41st).

Strasbourg again in the red zone

On returning from the locker room, Toulouse did not hesitate to secure a first situation with a powerful shot from Rafael Ratao into the side netting (47th). Shortly after, Dallinga offered himself a double by taking over a strong cross from Ratao following a nice collective movement (51st). Visibly shocked by this second goal, the Strasbourg residents took time to react in this second period. It was not until the very end of the match and a post found by Habib Diallo on a recovery at the entrance to the surface (90th) to see a clear opportunity in their favor. In an electric end to the match, Gameiro left his teammates at ten after a gesture of frustration (90th + 4). Again in the red zone at the end of this 20th day, Strasbourg will have to continue with a delicate trip to Rennes next Wednesday.
