Knicks come back to beat Celtics in overtime

BOSTON (AP) — Julius Randle scored 37 points, grabbed nine rebounds and made free throws to give the New York Knicks the lead for good, beating the Boston Celtics 120-117 in overtime on Thursday night.

Jalen Brunson added 29 points, seven assists and a game-ending cap for New York, which has won two straight. Immanuel Quickley finished with 17 points and five rebounds.

Jaylen Brown had a chance to give the Celtics the lead with 7.6 seconds left, but she missed two free throws. Boston had no choice but to commit a high.

Jayson Tatum, an All-Star starter for the third straight season before the game, finished with 35 points and 14 rebounds. Brown added 22 points and nine fumbles off the backboards for Boston, which has lost three straight for only the second time this season.
