Ghent – Charleroi was a match without a winner. The fans present did not see any goals in a particularly mediocre match. The Buffalos in particular cursed after the loss of points: they missed an opportunity to put some extra pressure on Club Brugge.

Vanhaezebrouck (trainer Ghent): “You can’t be satisfied with a draw at home. In the first half we had to get a penalty on that free kick. I understand that the referee can’t see from that angle, but it’s strange that the VAR doesn’t come back to that situation.
“Charleroi didn’t play in the second half, but we didn’t do enough with our chances. So I’m not going to claim that we should have won the game.”
Mazzu (trainer Charleroi): “I can only make a positive analysis. Against a team fighting for the top 4, we even had the chance to win the match. The effort and organization were good, a big boost.”
