Judo at VfL Sindelfingen: Pauline Starke secures the German vice championship on the first day – more local sports

The first day of competition in the German Judo Championship ended for VfL Sindelfingen at least with a medal. Five of his fighters had gone to the mat, but Pauline Starke made it onto the podium.

On the first day of the German Judo Individual Championships in Stuttgart, the women fighting for VfL Sindelfingen in the first Bundesliga proved to be the stronger sex. While club mates Kim Ruf (up to 73 kilograms) and Marius Kölblinger (up to 81 kilograms) had to lay down their weapons in the preliminary round, Pauline Starke (up to 67 kilograms) secured the runner-up title.
