Judo, Abruzzo leaves its mark on a national level

L’AQUILA – Once again Abruzzo judo caught the attention of Italian sportsmen last weekend in Lignano Sabbiadoro, with the prestigious results obtained in the XXVIII edition of the CAD Alpe Adria Grand Prix, one of the best competitions on the national circuit, both by technical and organizational level. More than 1,000 athletes from all over Italy took part in the tournament, organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Committee and the ASD Yama Arashi of Udine.

Perfect competition that of the judoka Lucius Tablet in the category up to 73kg, the Kodokan Chieti athlete won six matches out of six played, all concluded with ippon, the KO of judo. These results allowed him to win the gold medal.

Net path also for Alexander D’Urbano who puts the gold medal around his neck in the category up to 81kg.

Bronze medal for Visit Asia in the category up to 52kg which, with 5 matches won in a convincing test, ranks third.

Neither judoka Octavia Napoleon in the final for the bronze she fails to get the better of her teammate Asia Toro, however proving to be among the protagonists of her category.

Lucrezia Zeddain his first year among the cadets, convinces in the category up to 57kg and, with three fights won and two lost, he ranks seventh.

The proof of also convincing Francis Fiore who, in the category up to 81kg, demonstrates good growth by playing 4 matches and winning two.

Good performance for too Aurora Santarelli e Julia Zedda in the category up to 52kg and for Elisa Piccirilliin his first year among cadets and in a new weight category (-63kg).

Thanks to these results, Kodokan Chieti ranked first in the special classification for clubs in both the men’s and women’s sectors.

All the athletes who carried the colors of Abruzzo so high received the compliments of the FiJLKAM Regional President Emilio Ermano and of the Vice-President of the Judo sector FiJLKAM for the Abruzzo region Moses Lamolinara.
