It marks his first absence since January 9. In that time, he averaged 34.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.1 assists on 49.6% shooting and 36.0% from the 3-point line in 37.7 minutes per night. .
His absence appears to be precautionary/load management after playing 44 minutes against the Celtics, with the Lakers preparing the following night against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
