January 21st. The municipality of Huajuapan will participate in approximately 14 sports disciplines in the regional stage of the state games of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) 2023.
The municipality’s Sports Evaluation coordinator, Yahir Esquivel Salgado, mentioned that the intention this year is to project talent at the state level, but also to increase the number of participants in most of the disciplines contemplated in the recently issued call.
He reported that the registration of young people in disciplines such as chess, athletics, badminton, breaking, basketball, 3×3 basketball, baseball, baseball 5, boxing, cycling, horse riding, weightlifting, softball and Tae Kwon Do is planned.
He also raised the possibility of participating in sports such as roller skating, swimming and women’s soccer.
“In which we see that Huajuapan is already a bastion of athletes; It must be the spearhead in sports in the Mixteca region… That the boys see in sport practically a habit, a way of life, that they encourage their friends, young people to be able to play a sport, that in Huajuapan they see an alternative to be able to practice any discipline”, he said.
Esquivel Salgado commented that last year they obtained favorable results at the state level, making young people from Huajua pass to the national stage and obtain a gold medal in charrería and a bronze medal in weightlifting, as well as other breaking medals.
“That the Conade games are a projection platform, since it is a national ranking, and the experience that is had is indescribable because we can transmit that to our friends, we can be spokespersons that sport can help us with social issues , in the family treatment and in the academic part, ”he said.
He informed that those interested must bring their documentation before January 26 to the coordination offices, located in Parque Bicentenario. The previous meeting will be held on January 27 at 6:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the municipal qualifying round will take place on January 28 and 29, to select the young people who will represent Huajuapan at the regional level.
