Hamilton Tiger-Cats agree veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell

HAMILTON — Bo Levi Mitchell is now part of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Ontario team announced Tuesday that the veteran quarterback has accepted his three-year offer.

The Ti-Cats acquired Mitchell’s trading rights from the Calgary Stampeders in November in return for a third-round pick in the 2023 CFL Draft, fifth-round pick in 2024 and future considerations.

Mitchell, 32, joined the Stampeders in 2012 and has played his entire CFL career with them. He notably allowed them to win two Gray Cups, while being twice named the league’s most valuable player.

The Texan, however, lost his starting job last year to Jake Maier. The latter accepted a two-year contract extension from the Stamps last season.
