Great victory for Movialsa Baloncesto Criptana against Polígono Toledo

A good start to the year and the second round of the season for the Criptana Basketball Senior Men’s team, which beat a very good Polígono basketball team 60-57, with two quarters for each team. The first of them for the locals, playing good basketball and closing the hoop well, above all, in not granting comfortable shots to the rival or second options. The second and third rounds, the visitors were much more involved in the match. They knew how to change the defense in time and this led Movialsa Baloncesto Criptana to have too many minutes of thick ideas in attack. In addition, the locals committed too many losses, which meant that in the last quarter, with a +1 advantage for the visitors, mistakes paid dearly.

First attacks with shots released from the Basketball Polygon that luckily did not enter, made the local pavilion believe that they had the victory in the hands of the home team. After a 2+1, two key three-pointers and a 6 of 7 in final free throws, Movialsa Baloncesto Criptana took a well-managed +8 income.

Although the visitors did not give up and after two triples they managed to get within 3 points. With a few seconds the marker would no longer move. An important victory for the team to stay there in the middle of the table and with the feeling of looking more up than down. Next week they move to the difficult and complicated track of Cuenca to try to maintain the winning streak. Once again the pavilion turned to the team, suffering with them until the end.

CLM WOMEN’S SECOND DIVISION

This weekend the second women’s competition resumed with the match played in Socuéllamos, maintaining the good run of results achieved before Christmas. The La Plaza Baloncesto Criptana Bar was traveling with six juniors and one cadet due to casualties, which was not an impediment for them to decide the game from the first quarter, with a partial score of 2-30. The rest of the match was a mere formality that served filming for the juniors and to prepare for next week’s difficult game against EBA, currently second ranked.

AUTONOMOUS MALE JUNIOR

The year has started badly for the Quality Sport Baloncesto Criptana junior team after losing to Zona 5 of Toledo in a game where the Toledo side was practically always ahead on the scoreboard.

The key to the game was what happened during the second quarter since during the first period the equality was clear, but in this quarter the 31 points scored by the locals were key in the evolution of the game, since the home team was leaving at halftime with a score of 46-35.

In the third period the game tightened up again with a group from Crypto more in tune in their offensive actions, which allowed the game to practically even out, for the remainder of the period and a good part of the last one, only the final mistake of one team visitor prevented them from obtaining the victory against a good local team.

Despite the defeat, the team continues to lead the standings, hosting Guadalajara on Sunday, a team that occupies the third position in the table.

REGIONAL FEMALE JUNIOR

The competition in the Junior women’s category returned after the Christmas break, it was time to move to Roda, a difficult match against a team that is playing to enter the phase.

The match began with our team very focused and a very high defensive level, the score reflects this, 3 to 21 in the first quarter, in the second quarter there was more equality, ours slowed down and allowed the locals to score mainly from the staff line, at halftime 18 up.

In the third quarter, the intensity rose again and the 30-point difference was exceeded, leaving the game sealed. In the last quarter, ours once again had their moments of relaxation from all the games, which the locals took advantage of to reduce the difference and leave the definitive 41 to 66 on the scoreboard.

JUNIOR MASCULINO ZONAL

The Quality Sport Baloncesto Criptana junior team of the U19 Zonal League, returned to the competition on the court of Club Baloncesto Herencia, last classified in Group C.

Our juniors went out on the track without trusting each other, despite the classification of the locals. After a few mismatched first minutes, they were able to get several consecutive baskets and a slight advantage, forcing the local coach to call a timeout. After the break and an exchange of errors and successes, the local team managed to tie the score at eleven points. Without losing their composure, the Crypto team reacts by raising the defensive intensity and manages to score against and above, acquiring a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

After the restart, the team got carried away and let the Herencia team set the pace of the game, which resulted in the worst minutes for ours, who, although they increased the difference, were only able to score 9 points in those ten minutes.

After the break, our team returned to play with a rhythm in attack, with static combinations and several counters caused by losses from the visitors thanks to the defensive work of our entire team. This was the trend until the end of the game, increasing the difference in the score, allowing the ten players available today to enjoy minutes and contribute their grain of sand to the fifth victory of the season.
