Grants of $276,000 to 22 organizations in Boucherville

Last December, the City of Boucherville awarded grants totaling $276,200 to several local organizations to support them in their activities or projects.
Of the 22 recipient organizations, Festival Classica receives the largest share of the cake with a $40,000 grant that will be used to hold concerts.
The Comité d’entraide de Boucherville was awarded two grants totaling $35,500 to, among other things, ensure the sustainability of its services and to set up an event brigade to recruit new volunteers.
The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Marguerite-D’Youville is receiving $27,500 to organize its Vocation en Art contest and for its Mutual Assistance Bridges project.
The Boucherville Swimming Club, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, received $25,000. An equivalent amount was donated to the Commercial Development Corporation (SDC) for the animation of the Urban Center.
The Royal Canadian Legion receives $22,000 to maintain annual activities such as Canada Day and the Mayor’s blood drive.
Collectif 21 obtains $20,000 in support to promote the urban agriculture model and to hire a full-time person to coordinate garden activities.
The Ronald-Beaupré Volunteer Center also receives $20,000 to manage its fixed operating costs and to support internal organizations.
The Boucherville Generation Center receives $10,000 for a project to implement a cloud computing system.
Thanks to two grants of $5,000 each, the Boucherville Sailing School will be able to hire a day camp coordinator and train and certify its monitors/instructors.
A sum of $10,000 was granted to the Boucherville Minor Baseball Organization for the renewal of equipment and uniforms.
Grants ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 were given to the Daughters of Isabelle; at the Jankijou Theater; the Association québécoise du goûte-boudin in Boucherville; at the Horticulture and Ecology Society of Boucherville; at the Boucherville Cycling Club; to the International Foundation of Cultures to Share; the organization of basketball; and the La Seigneurie de Boucherville Cooperative.
