Get out! An enraged Djokovic kicked his brother out of the box during the final

A frustrated Djokovic turned his anger somewhat surprisingly against those closest to him. As he went to sit on the bench after the lost set, he gestured furiously towards his box in the stands, where he kicked out his agent and his brother Mark.

“He is very angry. He pointed to his box and two of the five members were no longer sitting there. It’s probably a clear proof that he wants to win this final at all costs,” said Australian sports commentator and former player and coach Roger Rasheed.

After three hours and eight minutes, the 21-time Grand Slam champion managed to win the match 6:7, 7:6 and 6:4. By winning the 92nd title, he equaled Rafael Nadal in the number of tournament victories, and only the legends Jimmy Connors (109), Roger Federer (103) and Ivan Lendl (94) are ahead of him.

In his post-match speech, he tried to iron out the outpouring towards his closest ones.

“I would like to thank my team for managing me, for tolerating me in good and bad times. I appreciate them being here with me. My brother Marko is here too. I don’t see him that often and I appreciate him coming here. I like you,” said Djokovic.

“This has been a wonderful week for me and you have made it even more special,” he added to his loved ones.
