Genk sees Andras Nemeth leave for Hamburg – Latest transfers

Genk would have reached an agreement with Hamburg for the transfer of Andras Nemeth.

According to BILD et The last news, Andras Nemeth (20) should leave Racing Genk and join Hamburg, which plays in the 2.Bundesliga. The Hungarian striker is currently undergoing his medical tests. Genk should receive 1 million euros in the operation and would benefit from a percentage on resale.

Arrived at the age of 14 in Genk, Nemeth took his first steps with the first team last season. Entering Wouter Vrancken’s plans during the first part of this season (16 games, 1 goal and 2 assists), he had refused to extend his contract – expiring next June – and had been relegated to the B nucleus. He had also made his debut for the Hungarian national team, scoring against Luxembourg last November.

After Mika Godts and Sekou Diawara, Genk is once again losing control of a promising young player.
