Gella Vandecaveye (Kortrijk, June 5, 1973) is a former Belgian judoka. Career. Vandekawe started judo at the age of eight at the Zwewegem judo club. At fifteen, she joined judo club Genos Quai Hooglede under the tutelage of her coach and roommate Eddie Vinquier. Her big break came in 1993 when she won her first world title in Hamilton, Canada.
