Football: FC Sète takes a turn that may prove decisive for the future

The Sétois chain two receptions. It starts this Friday January 20 (7 p.m.) with the arrival of OL II.

The future is now considered with more serenity within the Football Club of Sète. The investors are there, Laurent Dechaux has taken over the reins of the sportsman and the project, to be long-term, is reassuring.

Which team ?

But now is the time to show it on the pitch. Because even if a descent in N3 would not call anything into question, it would still waste a little time… We must therefore react quickly. Unfortunately, the recruitment is slow to be announced and this puts coach Nicolas Le Bellec in a delicate situation since only departures have been officially recorded in his ranks. Difficult to say, in such a context, which team will be aligned for the reception of the reserve of Olympique Lyonnais this Friday evening. And especially if it will be competitive.

The blow to go?

Other resources will therefore have to be called upon. Because the period promises to be crucial with two consecutive games at home, Louhans Cuiseaux (12th) coming in turn to Louis-Michel in a week. Perhaps, by then, the team will have changed its face. And, if she had the good idea to repeat the first leg (1-0 victory in Lyon), she would also be on the right track.

However, OL’s reserves have been on the right track for a few weeks. They have actually conceded only one defeat over the last six days (2-1 at Hyères) and are well established in the middle of the table. A team that still has the defect of scoring little with only twelve goals in fifteen games. Which still makes them three more than FC Sète.

Last with four points behind Aubagne, the “Green and white”, if they were to bow this evening, would be sure to keep their uncomfortable chair even if they win their late match against Louhans Cuiseaux. It’s time for revolt.
