Five Eure champions at the Acquigny judo club

This Sunday, January 22, 2023, the minims of the club de judo d’Acquigny (Eureà have done wonders in Louviers. It was during the Eure championshipsthe occasion of a beautiful harvest of medals with six entries and six qualified for the Normandy championships.

There have been five champions of the Eure: Lili Darlot (less than 40 kg), Ilyana Martin (less than 48 kg), Maxence Eydt (less than 38 kg), Mathis Savino (less than 46 kg) and Alois Grimonprez (less than 50 kg). On his side, Mohamed Karim (less than 60 kg) was vice-champion of the Eure.

Young people honored

From Saturday January 7, the club was honored during the ceremony of wishes of the departmental judo committee of Eure, which took place in parallel with the cup for all senior categories. “Tarik Karim finished second and Sébastien Gris third. Then, several of our young people were honored for their results last season during the various French championships: Lisa Navas, Louéna St Martin, Emma Darlot, Nolan Anglade, Paul Carreira, Lukas Lesueur, Nolan André, Maxence Eydt and Thibault Bardin”, rejoices Christophe Daniel, the teacher.

Cadets

Saturday January 14, 2023 also took place in Louviers the Cadets/Cadettes Eure Championships.

Our young lions gave us a great afternoon of judo. At the end of the afternoon, Acquigny judo had three Eure champion titles.

Six cadets and a cadet were engaged in this Championship. In less than 50 kg, Nolan Anglade became Eure championwhile Nolan André was meanwhile vice-champion of the Eure.

In less than 55 kg, Lukas Lesueurin the final, was victorious over his club partner Paul Carreira, vice-champion of the Eure. In less than 60 kg, Killian Martin lost in the final after a magnificent semi-final of more than seven minutes of fighting in golden score. In less than 73 kg, Thibaut Bardin gave no chance to his opponents and won the title. In the same category, Nathan Vassos got the 3e place.

For women in less than 70 kg, Anais Leroy, green belt, did not come out of the pool, but did not deserve it. “Our young fighter is progressing with each competition and will soon be on the podium too. The results of our young people reflect the work in training and their attendance at lessons,” says Christophe Daniel.

These six podiums qualify our lions for the next Normandy championships which will take place on March 12 in Mondeville.

Minimal

On the same day, January 14, therefore, took place the National Minimes tournament of Amiens.

In less than 48 kg, Ilyana Martin, minimal freshman, dropped to the round of 16. In less than 38 kg, Maxence Eydtdespite a good run, finishes, finished in 5e square. In less than 46 kg, Mathis Savino obtained his first national podium in minimal first year. And in less than 60 kg, Mohamed Karimalthough in constant progress, did not come out of the chickens.

“These tournaments serve as preparation for the major events to come, which are the Normandy championships and the Coupe de France”, concludes the professor.
