Euratsfeld – Golden Medal of Honor for “Judo Queen” Jasmin Gruber

In his speech, chairman Franz Freinberger looked back on the history of the association, which was founded in 1989. The Tria-Team NÖ West is the oldest and with 140 members also the largest triathlon club in Lower Austria. The Triathlon Association of Lower Austria was founded together with other triathlon clubs, of which only one still exists today. For 30 years the Tria-Team NÖ West organized the Ausee-Triathlon and at the same time the Ausee-Duathlon for ten years.

New management since November 2022

In November 2022, the Tria-Team Lower Austria West elected a new board that is very active. “In the early years we were very performance-oriented. Now we are an association for like-minded people who want to indulge in their hobby in their free time across all ability groups,” said Freinberger. The Tria-Team Lower Austria West still offers sports courses and training camps. Some of these are held in cooperation with other clubs such as RC Tretlager. Since there is no longer an indoor swimming pool in Amstetten, you have to switch to St. Pölten for the crawl courses.

Mountain bike professional and extreme athlete Lukas Kaufmann gave a lecture about his races from 2022. Among other things, Kronstorfer (Linz-Land district) reported on his victory in the Offroad Finnmark 700, one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world. Mayor Johann Weingartner (ÖVP) presented “Judo Queen” Jasmin Gruber with the golden badge of honor of the market community. Gruber had won the world championship title in the veteran category up to 63 kilograms in Poland last year.
