The Indonesian national team will host Vietnam at the Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Friday (6/1/2023), at 16.30 WIB. As usual, the two teams held a press conference the day before the game, or on Thursday (5/1).
Vietnam as the guest team had the opportunity to give a press statement before the Indonesian national team. The visiting team was represented by Coach Park Hang-seo, while the players were Pham Tuan Hai.
Hot tension ahead of the two teams has occurred in this press conference session, Park Hang-seo was angry in front of reporters. Prior to that, the Korean coach arrived five minutes late from the schedule which was supposed to be held at 13.00 WIB.
When he finished giving his statement, Park Hang-seo pointed to the left of the press conference room at SUGBK. In that direction there were two Koreans and one Indonesian.
It is not known what Park Hang-seo was talking about at that moment because the conversation was conducted in Korean. The Media Officer on duty on this occasion then explained the situation, then the press conference was resumed.
Then a Vietnamese journalist asked Park Hang-seo a question. The coach gave no long answers, Park Hang-seo and his players immediately left the room because no one asked anymore.
Investigate a calibaration, Park Hang-seo’s anger at the press conference was because there were four Koreans who were also known to be journalists. The problem is that he is not happy that this Korean journalist is wearing the black and gray Indonesian National Team jersey.
Diana Petriana, who knows Koreans closely at the press conference, explained the situation. Diana happened to speak Korean and explained that Park Hang-seo didn’t like the Koreans wearing the Indonesian National Team jersey.
“They know each other (Park Hang-seo and Korean journalists). Today they wore the Indonesian National Team jersey and thought they were spies. Park Hang-seo was not happy,” Diana said after a press conference outside SUGBK.
“Apart from that, Park was also not happy with the match schedule taking place in the afternoon, not in the evening. Park said, ‘how can Indonesia want to become an international host if for security alone it cannot be guaranteed’,” he added.
It is suspected that Park’s words confessed to the incident of the attack on the Thai bus by unscrupulous Indonesian National Team supporters. The former Lucky Goldstar player (now FC Seoul) has indeed made insinuations about the incident.
Then the Korean journalists gave an explanation to Shin Tae-yong who would take turns coming forward in front of the press room. Shin seemed to laugh as he heard that explanation.
