Denis Odoi has an explanation for disappointing results: “We are currently stubborn” | Jupiler Pro League

Club Brugge has not won 6 matches in a row. That caused a lot of disappointment in the dressing room yesterday.

“A few players have expressed their thoughts on how the match went,” said Denis Odoi.

It’s not a lack of confidence. I just think we’re hardwired at the moment. We knew we had to look for that second goal, but we just kept passing the ball around without creating any danger.” Something that coach Parker also saw and disturbed.

Odoi: “We also give the opponent hope by making mistakes ourselves: a ball that is not played in properly and goes outside, making a mistake in our own half…”

Club also escaped a penalty kick in the 1st half. Odoi pulled Hayashi to the turf, but was credited with the foul.

Was it a penalty for STVV or not? “My feeling doesn’t say ‘no'”, confesses Odoi.

“I didn’t see Hayashi coming and just had to stay behind him. When he turned away, there was a bit of arguing. That wasn’t very well defended of me.”
