Davidová repeated the fifth place, Voborníková reached a career high

Davidová was the only one of the elite ten in the starting order to make a mistake on the opening lay, which meant that she fell to ninth place with a loss of almost fifty seconds to the leading Swede. Öbergová blasted the entire fighter cleanly and held her own in the run, so she gradually gained a lead of almost half a minute and it was clear that she would add another cup first to her triumph from the sprint.

The Czech biathlete managed the second and third events without the need for a penalty round, which took her to fifth place, just sixteen seconds behind the Italian Wiererová, Norka Tandrevoldová and Slovak Bátovská. This group of three was fighting for second place, Davidová trying to catch up with them.

Everything was mixed up by the final stand, which of the three biathletes moving in front of Davidová, only Wiererová gave it cleanly, and with that she claimed the silver in the fighter. The Czech representative shot the last item more slowly, but accurately, so she left the range fourth, only six seconds behind the leading woman SP Simonová from France.

The exciting battle for bronze was fought in the last kilometer by three biathletes. Davidová and Simonová were joined by the accelerating Bátovská, better known by her maiden name Fialková. In the end, the third place went to the fastest Frenchman on skis.

Other Czech women’s representatives could also rejoice at the change in ranking. Tereza Voborníková missed only one of twenty shots, which meant an extra 150 meters and a total shift of nine places to 21st in the finish line, which is a new career high for her in the WC. Jessica Jislová also took 32nd place with one penalty lap. Lucie Charvátová did not start at the start after suffering from an illness.
