Extraordinary contributions have been assigned by the Municipality to the amateur sports associations and clubs of Porto San Giorgio which have suffered the most from the negative consequences of the pandemic in economic terms. For this purpose and in relation to 2022, the government had allocated 55,000 euros for Porto San Giorgio. On the basis of the addresses given by the councilor for sport, Fabio Senzacqua, two areas were identified for the distribution of this sum, making available 38,000 euros to the first and 17,000 to the second. 1 intended for concessionaires of municipal sports facilities with full payment of utilities up to a maximum of 5 thousand euros and for colleagues with partial or no payment up to a thousand euros. The contribution to be granted only if the amount of expenses incurred and deemed eligible were equal to or greater than the eligible contribution. The grants of area n. 2 concerned the expenses incurred for carrying out the sporting activity. Companies with legal or operational headquarters in Porto San Giorgio and membership in CONI or other recognized federations could present an application. For the first area, 10 questions arrived, one of which was out of time, consequently it was not admitted. For the second area, there were 20 requests for assistance, one of which was excluded due to the absence of evaluable elements.
