A beautiful good morning! Brazilian football can’t stop mourning. Ten days after the passing of the most successful footballer of all time, Pelé, another Sugar Hut legend passed away on Sunday – Carlos Roberto de Oliveira, better known by his alias Roberto Dinamite. Like Pelé, he died of colon cancer. The ten, a virtuoso right-footer and feared free-kick specialist, spent almost his entire career with Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro and took part in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina and 1982 in Spain. In 1978 he was a regular player and scored three goals in five matches. In 1982 Telê Santana called him up to replace Serginho Chulapa in one of the best World Cup teams of all time after Brazil’s superstar Careca was injured – but he did not play.
