BVB: “No one is waiting for Moukoko abroad”

“Moukoko is traded at Chelsea. So I say quite clearly: What does he want there now? He scored six goals, he wasn’t even a regular player for a long time. What are six goals?”, the record national player was asked Kicker clear.

Matthäus emphasized: “Chelsea bring in new people for the offensive, not even Kai Havertz is allowed to play in his favorite position, Timo Werner is already gone again. As a young player, like Musiala, you have to be a very special one for such changes to make sense.” (DATA: Bundesliga schedule)

Moukoko is interesting because he is free. “But he doesn’t know Chelsea or the Premier League. He wouldn’t get the support there like in Dortmund,” the 61-year-old is certain.

Matthäus advised both Moukoko and Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz to prefer playing practice at a high level to quick money. “Moukoko in particular has to work hard first, nobody is waiting for him abroad,” Matthäus made clear. (DATA: Bundesliga results)

The comparison to ex-Dortmunders was also drawn. “Sancho, Dembelé, Pulisic – Moukoko should orientate himself on the old Dortmunders and how they are doing.”

One thing is certain: BVB wants a timely decision and has given its offensive jewel an ultimatum. “Youssoufa and his agents know we’re expecting a decision this week as we want to have the issue resolved before matchday one. So that the boy can also devote himself entirely to the sporting challenges,” said sports director Sebastian Kehl in the kicker explained. Moukoko has a “very attractive offer”.
