Negotiations for a new contract for Youssoufa Moukoko at Borussia Dortmund have been going on for months. Now there is said to be a multi-million dollar offer from the Premier League. The earnest money for the 18-year-old would be immense, but BVB is not giving up.

Wdoes one of the greatest German striker talents move to England? According to a media report, Newcastle United have shown interest in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko after the current season. The 18-year-old German international is said to have an offer of £150,000 a week, according to the Daily Evening Standard.

The German portal “Sport1” is even more specific. According to the report, the Premier League club, which is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is offering Moukoko over €30m in signing money to join England. The salary offer should be nine million euros per year.

Moukoko’s contract in Dortmund expires at the end of the season. Most recently, media reports had caused a stir, according to which the striker is said to have turned down a lavish offer from BVB of allegedly six million euros. Moukoko found this damaging to his reputation. “I will never accept such a lie about me,” he shared via Instagram. He also stated that he did not want to be put under pressure.

Moukoko’s advisor Patrick Williams traveled to the Dortmund training camp in Marbella to negotiate his client’s future. The “Sport Bild” reports that the BVB offer including bonuses is 5.5 million euros annual salary. Consultant Williams should also receive an additional payment in addition to the usual commission when a contract is extended.

Jürgen Kohler warns Moukoko

“I think the player has to know exactly what he has in the club, the city and the people. If he doesn’t accept that and thinks of business management as a priority, then Borussia Dortmund should also say: ‘This far and no further. Then you have to go,’” emphasized Jürgen Kohler in the current issue of “Sport Bild”. The former BVB player does not yet believe that the young striker is capable of moving to a top international club. “Chelsea or Barcelona? He’s not good enough for that yet.”
