Brooke Henderson wins the first tournament of the season at the LPGA

The 25-year-old Canadian posted a 70 (-2) card in the final round to finally show a cumulative score of -16.

Sweden’s Maja Stark (69) and England’s Charley Hull (69) tied for 2nd at -12.

Henderson led throughout. His 13 professional wins are a high in Canadian golf history.

Henderson finished the year ranked 7th in the Rolex rankings and 3rd in the standings for the CME Globe race. When the CME Globe race standings are updated on Monday, she will be in the top spot.

The Tournament of Champions, with 29 golfers, was the first event of the season.
