Brighton tries to put the pieces back together with Trossard but…

Leandro Trossard is going to clash with Brighton: the Devil wants to leave this winter!

Even if he is targeted directly by the agent of the Red Devil who ensures “that he hasn’t spoken to Leandro for 4 weeks now”, Roberto De Zerbi tried to calm things down this Saturday after the superb victory against the Reds (3-0). “I’m sorry for this situation and I didn’t make a mistake with him. The people who work inside Brighton know the situation and I feel good. I’m ready to open the door to him because it he’s a good guy and he’s a very good player who is important to us.”

The Italian manager, however, issues certain conditions. “I don’t want to change the team but he has to understand that he has to work with my attitude, with my way because I’m the coach and I decide the rules in my dressing room. I have a responsibility for my players and for my club, I am honest and I am very clear.

”We have to think about the team more than ourselves”

Out of contract with the Seagulls in six months, Leandro Trossard has still not found an agreement for a possible extension. But Brighton are hoping to move past the current disagreements. “It’s not a bad situation, it’s a great situation”estimates De Zerbi. “Because if he learns and we improve our way of doing things, we can only move in the right direction. And to achieve our dreams, there is only one way: be open to improve and be ready to work hard, because we are Brighton, an average team in this competition. So we have to think about the team more than ourselves.”

Not sure that this speech can help Leandro Trossard to go back. Especially since the player wants to take a step forward by joining a club at the top of the table. Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle or even Arsenal are very interested in the 28-year-old player.
