BCS athletes prepare for the CONADE 2023 national games

La Paz, Baja California Sur.- “The sport of Baja California Sur is strengthened, thanks to the coordinated work to achieve the objectives for this 2023-2024 sports cycle, which also seeks to lead the state to position itself within the top 10 of the national medal table within of the CONADE 2023-2024 National Games, reaching the maximum figure of 50 gold medals, thanks to the support of the state governor Prof. Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío and the excellent results obtained by the athletes and the inclusion of new sports”, he highlighted. the general director of the Sudcalifornian Sports Institute (INSUDE), Gilberto Garciglia Higuera.

In the meeting that took place this Monday in the Cabildo room of the La Paz City Council, it was headed by the general director, Gilberto Garciglia Higuera, and was attended by the sports owners of the five municipalities, with the purpose of reaching agreements in relation to the next qualifying process for the CONADE 2023 and 2024 National Games, as well as the state, regional and macro-regional stages.

In this regard, the general director of INSUDE said that “it was a long day, with the participation of the directors of the 5 municipalities, also present were the directors of Physical Education of the SEP, Carlos Roberto Quintana, as well as Roberto Gómez Ramírez, Head of IMSS services, where large agreements were made to be able to face this new M50 project, but also to attend to mass sports, initiation sports to be able to attend to each of the communities and sports communities.

Regarding the sporting challenges for this 2023, the INSUDE director highlighted that the CONADE Nationals and Paranationals will be held in the southeast of the country, with the state of Tabasco as its main venue and Nayarit, Morelos, Jalisco and Aguascalientes as sub-venues.

As for the Macro-Regions there will be three, the A, B, and the C, our state, is located in the first of them along with Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora , Tamaulipas and Zacatecas; in the B, Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Colima, Mexico State, Guerrero, Guanajuato, IPN, INDET, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit and Queretaro and finally in the C, Campeche, Chiapas, Hidalgo, IMSS, Oaxaca , Puebla, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Tlaxcala, UNAM, Veracruz and Yucatan.

Regarding the state stage, it was defined in 3 blocks, starting at the beginning of February with the disciplines of Chess, Association Football, Tennis, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Baseball, Indoor Volleyball, Taekwondo , Fronton and Associated Fights.

The second block will take place from February 15 with the disciplines of Cycling, Weightlifting, Fencing, Athletics, Softball, Table Tennis, Karate, Triathlon, Hand Ball and Judo and finally block 3, on March 3 with the discipline of Basketball 3×3, pending to define the dates of the disciplines of Surfing, Archery, Breaking, Sport Shooting, Skate Boarding, Sport Climbing, Open Water, Gymnastics, In line Hockey, Diving, Rowing, Artistic Swimming, Canoeing , Swimming, Water polo.

Finally, the new disciplines that will be included in this sports cycle, such as Sailing, Golf, Baseball5, Caching, Hockey/Grass, Badminton, Bowling, Modern Pentathlon, Speed ​​and Figure Skating, Racquetball, Rugby 7 and Squash.
