Bayern Munich’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic sharply criticized Serge Gnabry for his trip to Paris to a fashion fair in the English week.
The Munich professional will have to report to the sports director on Wednesday. “It’s amateurish. That’s exactly what I don’t like. It’s not Bayern Munich to romp around somewhere when you have a day off,” said Salihamidzic after the league leaders’ 1-1 draw against 1. FC Köln on Tuesday evening.
Gnabry was substituted at break after a moderate performance by coach Julian Nagelsmann. “A day off is part of resting so that you can step on the gas for the next game”reprimanded Salihamidzic.

Gnabry appeared at Fashion Week in the French capital on a free Sunday and posted many photos of it himself. “We’ll talk about that”, announced Salihamidzic. That will happen on Wednesday. “I wanted to leave the boys alone to prepare for the game”he said and added: “Of course that has a need for discussion.”
Nagelsmann, on the other hand, did not want to verbally heat up the topic in the press conference after the game. After Gnabry’s trip, however, he also emphasized that he expected top sporting performance as a reaction. However, he replaced Gnabry against Cologne because he had the feeling “that we need a breath of fresh air”.
