ARD will continue working with Bastian Schweinsteiger (38) as an expert until 2024. The 2014 World Champion will also accompany the European Championships in Germany in public broadcasting.
Schweinsteiger convinced at the 2022 World Cup with his appearances as a TV expert. Together with moderator Esther Sedlaczek (37) he formed a harmonious duo. Schweinsteiger appeared with much more content than before. This was also due to the fact that Sedlaczek asked very specific questions and confidently guided him through the programs.
So far it has not been certain whether he will also be seen on ARD in the future. His contract expired at the end of the year. Now the extension!
Schweinsteiger: “I am very pleased that we will continue the successful cooperation beyond the home European Championship 2024. As a sports show team, we always aim to develop further in order to offer viewers the best entertainment and information.”
