The players of the Sega Sammy Baseball Club, which is based at the Sega Sammy Baseball Stadium in Tobuki-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo, visited Municipal Touro Elementary School on the 6th and interacted with children attending after-school nursery schools through baseball.

The Sega Sammy Baseball Club, a company baseball team for adults, is focusing on contributing to the local community, helping with work at welfare facilities, holding baseball classes at elementary and junior high schools, and interacting with citizens. This time, I learned through word of mouth that baseball is popular among the children at the same nursery school, and planned this event with the idea of ”wanting to increase interest in baseball.”

On this day, head coach Toshikazu Sato and eleven other players visited and interacted with fifty-four first- to third-year students. Teaching how to swing the bat and how to throw the ball, and enjoyed playing dodgeball, he worked up a sweat with his children.

Since 2009, he has been active based in Tobuki-cho. In March of 2009, we signed an agreement with the city council of social welfare regarding volunteer activities and reconstruction support activities in the event of a disaster. (Kou Fuseya)
