Banchero and Harris lead Magic to defeat Pacers 126-120

Paolo Banchero scored 23 points, while Garry Harris made all six of his 3-pointers and added 22 points as the Orlando Magic held off a late comeback attempt and defeated the Indiana Pacers 126-120 on Wednesday.

Bennedict Mathurin came off the Pacers’ bench to score 26 points for the second straight game and Myles Turner added 22 points and 13 rebounds for Indiana, which was coming off a 116-110 win over Chicago the previous night.

Buddy Hield made his first five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points.

Wendell Carter Jr. had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic. Orlando was shooting 15 of 18 from 3-point range and shooting 56% overall.

The Pacers trailed 11-0 and never led. They lost for the eighth time in nine games since NBA assists leader Tyrese Haliburton suffered a sprained left knee and left elbow.

Banchero scored 13 points in the first quarter, in which the Magic scored 46, shooting 64% and building a 17-point lead.
